Former Teen Bride From Warren Jeffs' Polygamist Cult Settles Suit For $2.75 Million

Elissa Wall, a former member of Warren Jeffs' polygamist cult, says she was forced to marry her 19-year-old cousin when she was just 14. Now, she has settled her lawsuit against the cult's communal property trust for $2.75 million, the Daily Mail reports.
Wall sued the trust, which is now controlled by the state, alleging damages stemming from her underage marriage, which was facilitated by Jeffs. As RadarOnline.com reported, Jeffs is currently serving a life sentence for his part in the rape of children who were members of his cult, a sect of the Fundamentalist Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Wall's testimony helped to secure his conviction.
