Trophies? Kanye West Insists Kardashians Deserve 'Plenty' Emmys For Their Reality Show -- Because 'KUWTK' Is 'Art'

Kanye West is infamous for his outspoken opinions on who does and does not deserve to bring home trophies from award shows, and now, he is weighing in on the Emmys and insisting that his wife Kim Kardashian deserves to have plenty of them for her work on Keeping Up With The Kardashians!
“I feel proud to be in a family that has, you know, so many people breaking ground for the generations to come,” West said in an interview with SHOWstudio. “KUWTK is so f—king new of an art form,” that “my wife and my family should’ve had plenty of Emmys by now.”
West compared the Kardashians to other artists who have blazed trails in emerging genres. “Reality shows are considered to be like rap was when the Mondrian hotel wouldn’t let Run DMC and motherf—king Will Smith stay there because they were rappers,” he said, rejecting “the idea of a reality star not being allowed into a fashion show or not being nominated for their show, even if it’s the longest-running and the most popular show.”
Regardless of little respect the show has gotten from the broader entertainment community, KUWTK's popularity is undeniable. “Everybody I know watches it,” West, maintained.
As RadarOnline.com reported, Kanye has made waves in the past for his outspoken criticism of award show methodology, famously storming the stage during Taylor's Swift's 2009 VMA win, and criticizing Beck's recent Grammy success.
