Joy Behar is threatening to storm off The View if show bigwigs don't give her Whoopi Goldberg's moderator slot when the comedian leaves after this season, sources tell RadarOnline.com.
Back in June, Goldberg, 60, signed a one-year extension for this season.
Now sources say Behar, 74, the last of the original panelists on the hit ABC morning chat program, is determined to be "the show's ringleader, and won't accept anything less next season," said one insider.
"Joy's had to work under Whoopi's thumb for years — it's grated on her. She believes this is her time to shine."
But it's not a sure thing. The insider explained that head honchos may want to "reinvent the show and bring in a slew of fresh new panelists."
"It might spell the end of the line for both of them."
