Real Housewives of Orange County star Lauri Peterson's son, Josh Waring, has been hit with felony possession of a controlled substance and accusations of being under the influence — while locked up behind bars!

The troubled jailbird's latest incident comes just weeks before his trial for attempted murder begins.

On June 19, the District Attorney filed the new felony charge against Waring, with a misdemeanor charge for allegedly being under the influence of a controlled substance. The violation date is listed as December 10, 2016.

As RadarOnline.com previously reported, Waring was arrested on suspicion of attempted murder last year in a shooting that took place in Costa Mesa. He was accused of shooting a 35-year-old, Daniel Lopez outside a sober living home.

According to reports, Waring got into a confrontation earlier that day with one of the residents. He then returned to the home and shot Lopez, who was taken to the hospital with serious injuries. Miraculously, Lopez survived.

Waring allegedly fled the scene in a stolen BMW SUV before police arrived to the home. Eventually he surrendered after a short standoff with authorities.

The reality star was booked into Orange County Jail on charges of suspicion of attempted murder, assault and battery, felony evading police, and vehicle theft and hit-and-run. His bail was set at $1 million dollars.

Waring pleaded not guilty to the 3 counts of attempted murder. The reality star is still locked up and has yet to post his bail.

Waring will face a judge next month when his attempted murder case goes to trial.
