Joni Mitchell 'Speaking Well' After Brain Aneurysm –– Find Out Next Challenge Ahead Of Folk Singer In Her Recovery

Joni Mitchell suffered a brain aneurysm in March, her longtime friend confirmed, adding that the musical legend is "speaking well," and working toward walking again.
Leslie Morris, who's also acting as Mitchell's conservator, posted to the singer's website Sunday that "details that have emerged in the past few days are mostly speculative," before setting the record straight on the current condition of the eight-time Grammy winner.
"The truth is that Joni is speaking, and she's speaking well," Morris wrote. "She is not walking yet, but she will be in the near future as she is undergoing daily therapies."
The 71-year-old "is resting comfortably in her" Bel Air home, where emergency responders picked her up following the medical incident March 31, according to Morris.
The "Big Yellow Taxi" singer is "getting better each day," Morris wrote, and "a full recovery is expected."

The statement came in the wake of David Crosby's HuffPost Live interview Friday, in which the 73-year-old music legend said that Mitchell "to my knowledge ... is not speaking yet," noting that he hadn't "spoken with her."
A judge ruled Morris as conservator last month, deeming that the folk legend had no relatives eligible for the role.
