As RadarOnline.com readers know, Derick Dillard, 28, shares sons Israel, and Samuel with wife Jill Duggar, 26. He previously appeared on the family's beloved show, until his distasteful remarks against Jennings got him fired.
Late last year, Dillard made it a point to say that the transgender star's realty show, I Am Jazz, was an "oxymoron" because it was a "reality show which follows a non-reality." He then explained himself, saying on Twitter that "" 'Transgender' is a myth. Gender is not fluid; it's ordained by God."
Dillard tried to defend himself after the backlash, but it was much too late.
Following his comments, TLC let Dillard go – though Dillard insisted he quit – and issued a statement saying they did not support his views. "We want to let our viewers know that Derick Dillard has not participated in Counting On for months and the network has no plans to feature him in the future," the statement read. "We want to reiterate that Derick's personal statements do not reflect the views of the network. TLC is proud to share the story of Jazz Jennings and her family and will continue to do so."
