Money Talks! Billy Bush's Top-Secret Settlement Deal With NBC REVEALED
Oct. 18 2016, Updated 10:23 p.m. ET
Billy Bush made big bucks to quietly leave the TODAY show, RadarOnline.com has learned.
According to a source close to the network, NBC paid Bush one year's salary — the equivalent of million dollars — to end his three-year contract just a few months in.
"NBC also agreed to pay for Billy's relocation back to Los Angeles from NYC, including all costs associated with that move," the insider added.
"In the end, Billy got exactly what he wanted in the deal," the source told RadarOnline.com. "He is definitely bummed, to say the least, but he is also glad that he decided to stick up for himself."
As RadarOnline.com reported, Bush and NBC came to a multi-million-dollar settlement deal just one week after the network suspended him for lewd remarks that he made on a 2005 audio recording with presidential candidate, Donald Trump.
Late last week, Bush hired top L.A. mediator, attorney Marshall Grossman, to negotiate a settlement.
Then yesterday — after NBC exec Noah Oppenheim confirmed Bush's departure in an internal memo with colleagues — Grossman told RadarOnline.com, "We have reached a settlement that is mutually acceptable to both sides. The terms are confidential and I am not at liberty to discuss those terms. But both parties have agreed and are okay with the settlement."
