Social Climber Bethenny Frankel was desperately trying to fix her broken relationship with Hoda Kotb after she replaced Matt Lauer on The TODAY Show, becoming one of the most powerful women on TV, RadarOnline.com has learned exclusively.

The Real Housewives of New Jersey star and the morning talk show anchor shared a special bond.

"Everyone told Hoda not to trust Bethenny and that she was only hanging out with her because she was on TV with Kathie Lee Gifford. But at the time she didn't want to believe it."

Frankel's ego quickly took over. "Bethenny actually thought she was a bigger star than Hoda and only wanted people around her that were powerful and rich as herself. Now that Hoda has got the biggest job on morning TV, Bethenny is over her like a rash again," the source spilled to RadarOnline.com.

"But don't worry, Hoda has learned her lesson. She doesn't need or want friend just because she is powerful now. She knows the truth about Bethenny."
