'Teen Mom' Amber Portwood Rips Baby Daddy Gary Over Bad Mom Claims: 'It's Ridiculous'

Amber Portwood has turned her life around after her jail stint and battle with drug addiction, but does Gary Shirley still consider her to be a bad mom? On this week's Teen Mom OG, Portwood fought back against her baby daddy's claims that she isn't fit to bring her own daughter to school.

On the episode, Shirley asked Leah, 7, to make sure she brushes her teeth while at her mother's house.

"It's hard for me to get her to do those kinds of things," Shirley said of his ex-fiancée. "I remind her and she gets mad at me. I need you to be the big girl and brush your teeth."

When Shirley's wife Kristina Anderson asked if Portwood could bring Leah to school now that she lives closer, Shirley responded, "No."

"It's very important for her routine to stay consistent and not to stop," he explained. "Obviously I would love to have Leah with me every single day no matter what, but under these circumstances things don't work that way. I just want to make sure Leah's safe, Leah is taken care of and Leah's teeth are getting brushed."

But Portwood fought back against her ex's digs during the episode.

"It's just ridiculous to think I'm incapable of bringing my child to school," she tweeted. "I will fight to be the mother I deserve to be."

Portwood, who is engaged to deadbeat dad Matt Baier, lost primary custody of her daughter in 2011 when she battled an addiction to prescription pills.

She served 17 months in prison for the drug possession charges. Since her release, she has prided herself on remaining sober.
