A disturbed madman was caught charging at the White House with a gun in his hand — and it was all caught on tape!

On May 20, 31-year-old Jesse Olivieri walked directly to one of the gates of the White House, a pistol in hand. And after being commanded repeatedly drop the .22 caliber Ruger handgun, he was shot once in the stomach.

The Secret Service later revealed that Olivieri said, “I came here to shoot people.”

The newly released surveillance video shows Olivieri disregarding commands, charging toward the gate, and laying on the ground after being shot. An officer is then seen kicking away his gun.

The Daily Mail reported that a law enforcement official later claimed Olivieri seemed to be carrying out a “suicide by cop.”

Olivieri told authorities he wanted to die, but he survived, and now faces charges of resisting officers with a dangerous weapon, carrying a maximum sentence of 20 years in prison.

At the time of the shooting, President Obama was away, but Vice President Joe Biden remained in the White House and was secured during the lockdown.
