Tom Arnold called his reunion with ex wife Roseanne last summer, after 18 years of estrangement, "very awkward" on Monday's edition of Bravo’sWatch What Happens Live.

As RadarOnline.com has previously reported, the exes were reunited last summer at Roseanne's Comedy Central roast, after Tom said he had "not been in a room with her for 18 years."

"I did it and I wanted to do it … make some peace … and I got paid a lot!" said Tom, who split with Roseanne back in 1994.

Asked by host Andy Cohen how awkward the run-in was on a scale of one to 10, Tom rated it as "at least a 10."

Tom said that after an "awkward hug," he realized, "I gotta get out of here, it went well!"

He said he and Roseanne exchanged some text messages after the event, "and we'll leave it at that."

During the roast, Tom -- calling Roseanne "literally the worst ex-wife on the planet" -- wrapped up his set with a positive tribute to his ex.

"In 1985, Roseanne went on Johnny Carson, which is every comic's dream back then," he said. "She killed, he laughed his ass off, he gave her a thumbs up and he invited her to sit on his couch. She got

validation from the king which can never be taken away from her.

"And I just want to say, Roseanne, you were my Johnny Carson. And thank you for the thumbs up and thank you for inviting me to sit on your couch for a little bit."
