As Teresa Giudice heads into her third month in jail, her husband, Joe, still hasn't found a way to contribute to the struggling family's finances. Now, RadarOnline.com has learned, she's taking matters into her own hands — and banking on a book deal to save her family!

Even though Teresa is locked up, "it's not stopping her from asking lawyers to help secure a book deal,” an insider revealed. "The family is broke and has absolutely no money coming in....and there is nothing in a savings or checking account. Joe still hasn't gotten a job, and isn't even looking.”

"Teresa thinks she can land an advance from a publishing company,” the source said. "She has been keeping a meticulous journal about her experiences in prison."

Until then, "The family is being financially supported by Teresa's parents, and Joe's mom."

Meanwhile, her sister-in-law, Melissa Gorga's finances are looking just fine: She just landed a huge raise for the upcoming season of Real Housewives of New Jersey.

Teresa's nemesis will be paid a whopping $750,000 — Teresa's old salary!

“Melissa has been given a raise in her new contract,” a source previously told Radar. “Her new salary now matches Teresa's old one. Melissa has always been highly paid but now she's getting the same amount of money that Teresa used to get.”

Expect Teresa to be released from prison in February 2016.
