Despite Julian St. John’s history of depression, his death at 24 on November 23 stunned his family. But even more shocking, RadarOnline.com has learned, is the possibility that it may not have been a suicide at all!

The son of The Young & The Restless star Kristoff St. John and boxer Mia St. John, Julian was found by a staff member at a facility in Long Beach on November 23, assistant chief coroner Ed Winter told RadarOnline.com exclusively.

He was found face-down and unresponsive in a bathroom, Winter said, and though the incident is listed as a possible suicide, the official cause of death has been deferred pending additional testing and a toxicology report. No official report is available yet, and the coroner would not confirm or deny whether Julian was staying at a psychiatric hospital.

As RadarOnline.com reported, mom Mia cited Julian’s battle with mental illness in her statement about his tragic fate, saying that “the pain became too great for him and I dare not say he lost the battle — he simply chose to set himself free. My fight for mental health will continue. They may not find a cure in my lifetime, but we can try and prevent the loss of another beautiful soul.”
