Could another cast shake-up be about to hit The View?

With television doyenne Barbara Walters set to retire in summer 2014, co-host Sherri Shepherd is "worried about her job" and has begun to look for other opportunities, a well-placed production source has revealed to RadarOnline.com.

“Sherri is quietly looking for new opportunities,” the insider dished.

“While it may just be a precaution, Sherri is worried she'll be out of a job after Barbara leaves.”

Shepherd, 46, became a frequent guest co-host on The View in 2006 and eventually moved into the role as a permanent co-host in Sept. 2007.

"Before Barbara leaves, she’ll want to make sure the panel is perfect and Sherri is concerned that could mean letting a few people go," the source added.

"Sherri wants to stay on television, in either a hosting capacity or a sitcom. She's looking into various roles and putting her feelers out there. She'd love to have her own talk  show, but that isn't her focus right at this moment."
