Jenelle Evans’ Baby Daddy: 'I Wish I Could Find a Better Mother For Jace'

The estranged father of Teen Mom 2 star Jenelle Evans' three-year-old claims he's being prevented from communicating with his son.
Speaking excessively to RadarOnline.com in the wake of his ex's latest headline-grabbing incident -- Evans was arrested for heroin possession on April 23 -- Charles Andrew Lewis claimed he's deliberately been kept from seeing his son, Jace, for years.
"She doesn't want Jace to know that I'm his father," Lewis charged.
"I tried to come see Jace, but they won't me come see him. I texted Barbara Jenelle's mother who is also Jace's guardian and asked her if I could see Jace. Straight up, she said, 'No!'"
Jenelle won't even send Lewis mementos of their son either, he claimed.
"Me and my mom went up there to North Carolina and talked to Jenelle and Barbara in person probably like three years ago," Lewis said.
"They were like, 'We'll take pictures and videos. We know you guys live a long ways. We'll keep in touch.' B*llshit. They never did anything."
Now, Lewis says he wishes that Jace had a different mother.
"I wish I could find a better mother for Jace," said Lewis, who first featured on MTV's 16 & Pregnant.
"From a father's point of view, hell yeah it bothers me. She's about dumber than a f**king brick. It's common sense: Heroin, It's stupid."
Lewis told RadarOnline.com he has even tried to get visiting rights through the court system, but every time, he is utterly let down.
"I've tried that so many times," he said. "You shouldn't have to go through a court. There's people out there that are homeless, literally -- and at least they still get to see their children."
But a source close to Jenelle, 21, questioned Lewis' true motives and tells RadarOnline.com he's fallen behind in child support.
"Jenelle tries talking to him online and on Facebook and he just cusses her out and won't even add her on Facebook," the insider said. "He is the one pushing Jenelle and Jace away."
Responded Lewis, "She always has an excuse. She needs to "stop making up freaking excuses and step up to her own faults."
While Lewis may sound judgmental of Jenelle, he too has a past.
"I've done heroin," he admitted. "I've done parties; I've done this, done that, but I've always stepped up to my problem.
"As soon as she gets blamed, she goes right back out and does it again. Yet, she knows the consequences because she's already gotten caught. Yet at the same time, she blames it on somebody else."
But, unlike Jenelle, Lewis said he has changed his life around.
He is currently going to school in Jacksonville, Fla. and hopes one day to get behind the camera as a director or producer in the film industry.
"I'm sitting in school busting my ass; I will have a career," Lewis said.
"I can support my son, while you go out and spend money from MTV and money from other people and steal and fight and get sent to jail and do drugs. How is that better than mine? At least I¹m doing something productive with my life."
Now, all he can do is dream about his boy and ³think about him every day."
It may be a far-fetched dream, but Lewis said he even hopes that one day, Jace can come live with him and get away from Jenelle.
"I would love to see him every single day," he said. "I would love to see what type of life I have, what type of father I am."
Lewis added: "I'm only in it for Jace. It's that simple."
