Former Survivor producer Bruce Beresford Redman — accused of killing his wife in Mexico — has been arrested, RadarOnline.com has exclusively learned.
US Marshals took him into custody a short time ago.
Monica Beresford-Redman was found on April 8, 2010 in a sewer at an upmarket Cancun resort where the couple was staying.
Investigators have said Monica’s body showed signs of asphyxiation and evidence of a heavy blow to the right temple.
Police said Bruce told them he last saw his wife after she left the resort to go shopping and never returned.
He reported her missing two days before her body was found.
In a statement released to RadarOnline.com, the television producer’s lawyer, Richard G. Hirsch said: “We are disappointed by the United States Government’s decision to arrest Bruce Beresford-Redman. Based upon our investigation he is an innocent man being wrongfully accused by a foreign government. We hope that after full consideration of both sides, a federal court will decide not to extradite him.”
