A battered and bruised David Beckham has arrived in Finland to undergo surgery, RadarOnline.com has confirmed.
The superstar athlete tore his Achilles tendon during a soccer game Sunday in the final minutes of AC’s Milan’s match with Chievo. He’s been on loan from the LA Galaxy playing in Italy to improve his chances to play for England in the World Cup. He’s worked for three years for this moment, but now it’s feared he may miss the World Cup.
His face is scratched and the 34-year-old is walking on crutches. Beckham arrived in Turku, Finland Monday for surgery with Sakari Orava, who says it could take four months for him to recover. On Beckham’s website, under “Injury Update” it states “He is understandably upset but wants to thank everyone for their messages of support. He hopes to make a swift and full recovery.”
