David Chase and HBO will cut another ribbon.
The Sopranos creator will write and produce a mini-series for the network called Ribbon Of Dreams, documenting the rise of Hollywood movie making from silent westerns to special effects through the eyes of two fictional characters, a cowboy and a mechanical engineer, according to the New York Times. Tinsel town legends like John Wayne and Bette Davis will be depicted in the series, whose title is derive from the Orson Welles quote, “A film is a ribbon of dreams.”
“We couldn’t be more excited to be back in business with the master,” HBO executive Richard Plepler told the paper.
