Rob Kardashian is on a dangerous 'heart attack diet' — but he refuses to quit it for a healthier regimen.

RadarOnline.com has learned that Kardashian is losing weight at an alarming rate, but friends say it's too much too soon after he recently collapsed from the stress on his body.

"Rob's been yo-yo dieting for years, but the constant stopping and starting of it all is taking a real toll on his health," one insider tells RadarOnline.com.

The troubled 28-year-old reality star is currently doing a diet that's based on the Master Cleanse and "it's having a terrible effect on him," warns the insider.

"He's dehydrated all the time, gets palpitations and it's putting a lot of stress on his heart while his body goes into starvation mode. He should be taking the same time to lose this weight as he did to put it on, but now that he's seeing results, you just can't stop him."

As RadarOnline.com reported, Kardashian started on his road to recovery thanks to "very intense therapy" with professionals, which his sister Kim Kardashian helped arrange.

"He doesn't ever want to work a program. None of them can work a 12 Step program, or anything public because it would hardly be anonymous," a source said.

Do you think Rob can keep up with this recovery, or is it just another false start?
