After months of struggle, Rob Kardashian is on the mend. RadarOnline.com has learned he has begun "very intense therapy" at home -- at the urging of his sister Kim.

Kris Jenner's only son has worried his family for a long time but sources close to the family told RadarOnline.com that he is slowly coming out of his shell and that change of heart is largely due to his sisters' dedication.

"Rob has been doing very intense therapy at home," a source close to the situation told RadarOnline.com. A second source explained, "He doesn't ever want to work a program. None of them can work a 12 Step program, or anything public because it would hardly be anonymous."

The troubled 28-year-old is "trying to deal with all of his issues," the source said about the reclusive Karadashian.

The "Kardashian girls are intent on helping Rob lose weight, because they believe his image issue is at the center of his other personal struggles," the second source told RadarOnline.com.

Getting healthy again is a priority and the source said Rob is committed to his health: "He is intent on beating this through working out and/or whatever is necessary."

With his sister Kim Kardashian making an extra effort to spend time with him lately, Rob feels a renewed sense of responsibility, according to the insider. "He wants to be the brother that was able to take care of his sisters like he promised his father he would before he died," the source said.

"Now that they do not have Bruce because Bruce is definitely Caitlyn, Rob needs to step up to the plate," the source claimed.
