One day after Muhammad Ali was hospitalized with respiratory problems, RadarOnline.com has learned that his condition is still serious.

According to an insider, the former boxing champ's vitals "are terrible" at the moment, and he is currently still relying on medical help to breathe properly.

Although there were discussions about transporting him to another area of the Phoenix-area hospital where he is currently staying, the insider claimed that doctors decided the move "potentially could be deadly," and the transfer was called off.

Another insider added, "Doctors are telling the family that it likely won't be long until he passes away."

Ali, 74, was hospitalized yesterday when he was discovered "barely breathing" at his home, said the source.

Now, the insider said, "He needs every bit of fight he's got left to survive."

As RadarOnline.com reported, the athletic icon was previously hospitalized in 2014 with a case of pneumonia. He has also been battling Parkinson's disease for decades.

Dr. Abraham Lieberman, a Parkinson's specialist who has treated Ali for many years, declined to comment on the matter.

Story developing.
