Hours after Demi Lovato was hospitalized for a drug overdose, her doting ex-boyfriend, Wilmer Valderrama, stopped by the ER to visit her, RadarOnline.com has learned.

While he was initially “shocked” and heartbroken by her crisis, he arrived at L.A.’s Cedars-Sinai hospital at around 3:00p.m. this Wednesday to be by her side. According to E!, he stayed about two hours and seemed "very down" when he left.

Lovato, 25, reportedly stayed overnight and is doing well.

On Tuesday, medical emergency teams rushed to Lovato’s home after responding to a 911 call from one of her pals. Though the singer refused to disclose what drug she had taken, she was immediately transported to the ER to get treatment. She is now in stable condition and will check into rehab after her release.

As RadarOnline.com readers know, Lovato and Valderrama, 38, dated for six years before calling it quits in 2016. After their split, however, they remained close friends, with sources even saying that the stars always hoped they’d end up together.
