Two days after known Mafia boss, James "Whitey" Bulger was brutally murdered behind bars, the widow of one of his many victims is speaking out.
Patricia Donahue's innocent husband, Michael, was shot to death by Bulger and an accomplice while giving his pal Brian Halloran — who was a mob target — a ride in 1982.
She has mourned his death ever since, but upon hearing of Bulger's murder, she told reporters she could feel nothing but joy.
"I'd like to open a Champagne bottle and celebrate. There's one less scumbag on this earth. They say you die the way you live, you know?" Donahue, 73, told The Sun. "He killed many people and they ended up killing him. I'm glad that he's dead and I'm glad that he died the way he did."
Her son — who was just 8 when his dad was killed — agreed.
"He deserved a slow death and that's what I hope he got," he said.
As RadarOnline.com previously reported, Mafia hit man Fotios "Freddy" Geas, 51, and another inmate allegedly broke into the crime lord's west Virginia prison cell this Tuesday morning, gouged his eyes out, cut his tongue and beat him to death with a metal lock wrapped in a sock.
He was 89 at the time.
