Linda Evans Humiliated By DUI Clip: ‘I Saw The Pain In My Eyes’

Linda Evans says she was as shocked as anyone else to see the “disturbing” dash-cam footage of her 2014 DUI arrest exclusively released by RadarOnline.com.

In a new interview, the 74-year-old Dynasty legend said the video of her humiliating DUI arrest caught her off guard. “I was surprised because I don’t remember myself that way,” she said. “It was disturbing. I saw the pain in my eyes.”

As RadarOnline.com reported, police reports from the incident noted that Evans’ eyes were “droopy” — and her clothes appeared “soiled” as she was held in the cop car.

A subsequent search of her vehicle turned up a baggie containing 29 mysterious pink pills, according to the report. Evans, visibly bedraggled and bleary-eyed, claimed to have gotten them from a friend to help with her back pain from a slipped disc.

“It’s true I was driving while being in physical pain, but I was not impaired by any narcotic,” Evans insisted. “I did not take any opiate or alcohol. I would not have willfully put anyone in jeopardy.”

The May 2014 incident began when officers in her home state of Washington observed Evans driving erratically, and pulled her over. She was ticketed for DUI at the time and administered blood tests, and the charge was ultimately amended to reckless driving.

Evans claims, “Blood tests proved there was only a remanence of a prescribed sleeping pill that I took the night before.”

The star admits, however, “I wished I had made better judgment” and avoided the road that day. She assures fans that “this opportunity helped me learn to stand by myself, in my journey of recovery."

That journey has included four separate laser surgeries and a healthy lifestyle, says the woman whose turn as Krystle Carrington helped make the prime-time soap a ratings powerhouse. She now tours the country as a motivational speaker.
