The Little Couple's Jen Arnold and Bill Klein are back on the small screen – and so are their scandals! RadarOnline.com can exclusively reveal the couple's family once filed for bankruptcy.
Dr. Jen's father David Arnold, who has appeared on the series alongside wife Judy, filed for Chapter 7 bankruptcy on April 29, 2011.
Court papers obtained from United States Bankruptcy Court Middle District of Florida reveal he owed $327, 364.50 to creditors.
His debt includes mortgage payments in the amount of $154,727.
He also racked up $19,181.99 in credit card bills from Capital One, City National Bank and HSBC Bank.
Despite bringing in an average monthly income of only $5,000 as a consultant for Chicken Soup of the Soul, he had average monthly expenses of $7,660.
The debt was discharged on August 10, 2011.
But this wasn't the couple's first bankruptcy. According to an online docket, they filed for Chapter 7 bankruptcy on August 22, 2002. The case was discharged on December 30, 2002.
Viewers watched David and Judy when they appeared on the series in 2017 to celebrate their son David's birthday.
The show has been off the air since 2017 because of their involvement in Discovery Communications and LMNO Productions' lawsuit regarding the show's accounting practices.
"We've been busy since you last saw us," Jen said in a trailer for the new season. "We moved to Florida, Will and Zoey are a little bit older and we have a lot to catch you up on."
The Little Couple returns on Tuesday, October 8p.m. ET on TLC.
