Mackenzie McKee has been sharing her mother Angie Douthit's brave battle with cancer on social media but now things have taken a turn for the worse.
On Friday, Mackenzie sadly wrote on Instagram that the stage four cancer in her lungs and brain has spread to her mom's bones.
Alongside a photo of Mackenzie and a fragile-looking Douthit smiling with a cancer cap on her head, the former Teen Mom 3 star wrote, "O mom, you are so amazing. Idk how you are touching lives all around the world of people who have never met you but you are. You have such a strong message to share and you are not scared to shout it to the roof tops.
"You don't deserve this, none of it. So happy, so healthy, and so faithful to God," Mackenzie's caption continued. "Stage four cancer in your lungs, in your brain, and now in your bones. And not once have you questioned Gods love for you. You are truly praising him in the storms and yet again being the glue to my life."
Mackenzie elaborated on the bad news in the lengthy Instagram post, writing, "As many already know we did not get a good update yesterday and this dollar coaster is exhausting and expensive. One thing you wish people would do is to remain healthy and take care of your body and to #alwaysbekind."
The former reality TV star said Douthit was her number one cheerleader and asked fans to buy her home workout program online to help the family with medical bills, writing, "So this weekend All purchased on my fitness at home workout programs will go towards the cost of all travel expenses and medication."
MTV was recently filming Mackenzie and her family for an upcoming special that will focus on her mother's cancer struggle.
As RadarOnline.com has also reported, Mackenzie got a tattoo tribute to her cancer-stricken mother recently.
The star who has been talked about as a replacement for Farrah Abraham on Teen Mom OG or that of Jenelle Evans on Teen Mom 2 if the latter continues to cause problems, knows Douthit is in the fight of her life.
McKee previously revealed that her mother has five inoperable tumors in her brain.
Just two months ago, however, Douthit appeared to be doing well.
"It's a good day, radiation and chemo are kicking this cancer's butt!" Douthit's doctor told her during a recent visit.
According to new scans, Douthit's brain tumors are had continued to shrink, as did "hundreds" of smaller tumors in her lungs.
"I will continue on the chemo pill and will have more scans in April and May," Douthit revealed. But now, according to Mackenzie, they learned there is also cancer in her bones.
MTV has considered using Mackenzie as a Teen Mom replacement and she could have a touching storyline involving being with her mom through her illness.
But Mckenzie has admitted her previous stint on the cancelled Teen Mom 3 affected her marriage to husband Josh McKee and they almost divorced.
The couple fixed their marriage and welcomed their daughter Jaxie in 2014.
