Long before she rubbed shoulders with Lisa Vanderpump and Kyle Richards, Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Teddi Mellencamp Arroyave was secretly married and divorced years ago, RadarOnline.com has learned.
According to divorce documents exclusively obtained by Radar, Teddi was married to a man named Matthew James Colbourne Robertson for two and a half years before divorcing him in 2010.
John Mellencamp's famous daughter is currently married to founder and CEO of Skyline Security Management, Edwin Arroyave. The couple has two children together, daughter, Slate, and son, Cruz. Edwin also has a daughter, Isabella, from a previous marriage.
The divorce docs state that Teddi married her first husband on June 3, 2006. The couple did not have any children together. On December 1, 2008, Teddi and Matthew separated.
The Beverly Hills housewife filed for divorce the following year, on July 28, 2009. She cited "irreconcilable differences" as the reason for the split, according to the documents on file at Los Angeles Superior Court.
Teddi did not request spousal support. According to the documents, Teddi checked off the box that read, "There are no issues of child, spousal, or partner support or attorney fees and costs subject to determination by the court."
One month after Teddi filed the petition, the housewife's attorney, Wendy Benge, served Matthew with papers, the documents state.
While Teddi's current husband Edwin and her kids have appeared before Bravo cameras on the The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, she's remained tight-lipped about her first marriage.
Although the divorce did not require any splitting of assets, it wasn't exactly a quick split. According to the docs, the former couple's divorce was not official until Valentine's Day, on February 14, 2010.
Teddi wed her current husband Edwin in 2011. In January, the accountability coach and her businessman purchased a $4 million home in Hollywood Hills, Radar reported.
Teddi has been at the forefront of some major Beverly Hills drama this season. Most recently, she confronted Dorit Kemsley after claiming Kemsley stood her up for an hour at a bar.
