Ted Cruz Campaign Takes Down Commercial — Featuring A Porn Star!
April 19 2016, Updated 12:28 p.m. ET
Ted Cruz's latest attempt at a political ad turned out to be one big, hot mess.
The Texas senator's campaign team confirmed late Thursday night that a commercial slamming Florida Senator Marco Rubio had been pulled because it featured an adult film actress.
The ad, titled Conservatives Anonymous, was a 30-second clip of a faux self-help session in which voters share regrets over previously supporting Rubio.
As for Amy Lindsay, the controversial talent choice, the actress is a self-proclaimed Christian conservative and evidently a porn star (ironically).
"Unfortunately, she was not vetted by the production company," Cruz campaign spokesman Rick Tyler released in a statement soon after the ad scandal. "Had the campaign known of her full filmography, we obviously would not have let her appear in the ad."

Meanwhile, Lindsay, whose IMDB credits include Insatiable Desire and Carnal Wishes, was not happy with the Cruz's decision to pull her big commercial spot, tweeting that she was "extremely disappointed" in the prez hopeful.
This isn't the first time Cruz has come under fire for poor decision-making.
As RadarOnline.com previously reported, the presidential candidate confessed to being in trouble with the law after his troubled past was uncovered.
"Yes. In 1987 (as a teenager), pled guilty to Minor in Possession Alcohol," he said in a statement. "Teenagers often make foolish mistakes, and that certainly applied to me as well."
