'Politically Woke' Taylor Swift Reminds Viewers To Vote After Record-Breaking AMA Win

Taylor Swift took home a big win this Tuesday night at the 2018 American Music Awards — but making AMA history is not all the beauty went onstage to do.

After making jaws drop with her fiery "I Did Something Bad" performance, the songstress proudly accepted her Artist Of The Year award and gave an empowering yet shocking speech, ending with some words of wisdom — about politics.

Dressed in a silver disco ball mini dress and thigh-high boots, Swift, 28, reminded people to vote during the upcoming midterm elections. Her advice came just one day after she made headlines with her political Instagram message endorsing two democratic candidates running in the Tennessee midterm elections.

It also came moments after RadarOnline.com exclusively revealed AMA producers begged the star not to get political!

"Get out and vote, I love you guys," Swift told her fans before strutting off the AMA stage.

She may be the most-decorated female artist in American Music history, but Taylor Swift is still receiving fiery backlash! Apparently, some social media users are not here for her "politically woke" new persona!
