Rehabbed Ryan Edwards and Mackenzie Get Married Again—This Time, In Church!
Nov. 19 2017, Updated 8:56 p.m. ET
Teen Mom OG's Ryan Edwards and Mackenzie Standifer Edwards finally got the wedding of their dreams on Saturday, as E! News reported. But his baby mama Maci Bookout wasn't there! After getting married on camera for the MTV reality show the first time in May -- just before Ryan went to a rehab facility, the wed again.
On the TMOG episode the first time, the couple explained how they got married to help their custody battle over Edwards and Bookout’s son Bentley, 9.
Now, he and Makenzie have gotten married again. It's been reported the second Nov. 18 wedding will also appear on TMOG.
According to E!, Ryan and Mackenzie walked down the aisle at an "original, intended" ceremony in a church. His parents attended, but his ex-galpal Maci and their son Bentley, 9, didn't attend, although they had been expected. Ryan and Maci have feuded over drug issues, as a RadarOnline.com source has said.
Ryan's life has been troubled as he checked himself into rehab earlier this year for drug problems. He completed treatment, and Mackenzie has stood by him, even after Ryan was then caught up in a cheating scandal.
At the time, Ryan told RadarOnline.com about him allegedly reaching out to other women via Tinder, "I’m married. Get the f**k out of here with the dumb s**t." This week, Mackenzie explained to E! about the second nuptials, "It's been in the works since the day we got engaged. It was never just decided upon—we knew from day one this was going to be it."
She revealed his son Bentley didn't know she and his dad were already married. Mackenzie thought at that time that Maci would be a wedding guest, but she and the boy didn't show. Maci and Taylor McKinney got married in in 2016 and have two kids, daughter Jayde, 2, and son Maverick, 1.
Mackenzie also has a son named Hudson from a previous relationship. She noted to E! before her second wedding to Ryan, "This is a day about us, yes, but it's also about us becoming a family." The couple's reception on Saturday followed the wedding at a warehouse-type space. The first time Ryan and Mackenzie wed, it was a quickie outdoor ceremony outdoors with just a minister.
"It don’t matter if there are 100 people or two people. It just matters as long as we love each other," he told Mackenzie at the time.
But this weekend, it appeared Ryan and Mackenzie wanted a more formal church wedding with friends and family looking on!
