The Noxzema commercial star filed her divorce papers in Los Angeles on February 16, 2018, asking a judge to award her “spousal support” and stated property would be divided in “mediation.”
She and Dane, McSteamy on Grey’s Anatomy, tied the knot in August 2004 and had two young children together.
In 2017 his rep revealed he suffered from “depression” and production on The Last Ship was halted when he checked into rehab.
As RadarOnline.com previously reported, he told friends he needed time off to “really address his feelings" for the sake of Gayheart and their daughters, Billie, 7, and Georgia, 5.
“He and Rebecca used to be real party people, but they’ve worked hard to adjust to family life,” a friend told RadarOnline.com at the time. “But frankly, Eric sometimes just feels overwhelmed.”

At the height of his “McSteamy” fame in 2009, a leaked video showed a woozy Dane in a hot tub session with Gayheart and ex-Miss Teen USA contestant Kari Ann Peniche.
In the video, Dane jokingly referred to his surroundings as “Cocaine Manor,” and in 2011, he entered rehab to kick an alleged painkiller dependency.
