One of Rachel Lindsay’s suitors found himself in the middle of a missing person investigation while being arrested by police for underage drinking. RadarOnline.com can exclusively reveal Bachelorette contestant Dean Unglert’s past bust.
Unglert, 26, was arrested for underage possession and consumption of alcohol on December 22, 2010.
According to the police report obtained from the Aspen PD, the reporting officer responded to a 15-year-old missing female investigation.
When the officer confronted Unglert, then 19, standing by a McDonald’s restaurant, he said, “I haven’t seen anything.”
“I observed that he did not look of drinking age, and his speech was slurred and eyes watery,” the reporting officer wrote. “Due to the fact I felt that a missing person should take precedence, I continued on my search.”
The officer returned and found Unglert admitting to other cops that he was with the missing girl, saying he “didn’t think it was a big deal” to lie about her whereabouts.
“Upon being in closer proximity to Unglert, I smelled the strong odor of an unknown alcoholic beverage coming from his person,” the report continued.
Unglert admitted to drinking “a couple of beers” and was placed under arrest. His breath alcohol content was 0.147.
The case was dismissed and Unglert was ordered to pay $31 in fines.
Reality Steve was the first to report on Unglert’s arrest.
But Unglert isn’t the only Bachelorette contest who has been arrested. As RadarOnline.com previously reported, William Elarbee, who goes by his middle name Blake, was arrested on December 13, 2010 for driving under the influence.
Unglert was found guilty of the DUI. As part of his six-month probation, he was required to complete 50 hours of community service and pay $990 in fines. His license was suspended for six months.
