Queen Called Camilla A 'Wicked Woman' After Drinking One Too Many Martinis

Queen Elizabeth never approved of Camilla Parker Bowles! In a new biography by by British investigative journalist Tom Bower, the author reveals what the monarch really thought about Prince Charles' affair with his now-bride, and how she reacted to their romance.

In 1997, after Princess Diana's tragic death, Charles, 69, reportedly confronted his mother about welcoming his lover, Camilla, 70, into the royal family and making her his bride.

According to Bower, the Queen, 91, had drank "several martinis, and to Charles's surprise she replied forcefully: She would not condone his adultery, nor forgive Camilla for not leaving Charles alone to allow his marriage to recover."

RadarOnline.com readers know that Camilla and Charles' scandalous affair was widely known around England and broke both of their marriages.

Bower claimed in his book that Queen Elizabeth called Camilla "that wicked woman," in a conversation with Charles, and said: "I want nothing to do with her."

Charles "tearfully" informed Camilla of the monarch's response and disapproval.

The controversial couple eventually wed in 2005, though the Queen failed to invite Camilla to any official ceremonies or dinners. She also reportedly "hinted that there was very little special Welsh gold left to make Camilla's wedding ring," according to Bower's book, Rebel Prince: The Power and Passion and Defiance of Prince Charles.
