Saturday Night Live star Pete Davidson has been mysteriously absent from the hit show lately — and now, he’s finally revealing the shocking reason behind his disappearance.

In a shocking Instagram post, the 23-year-old comedian claimed he “quit drugs” after nearly a decade of using.

“I quit drugs and am happy and sober for the first time in 8 years,” he wrote.

He credited his friends and girlfriend, TV icon Larry David’s daughter, Cazzie, for his newfound stability.

“It wasn’t easy, but I got myself a great girl, great friends and I consider myself a lucky man,” he continued, also expressing his love for his fans. “I’ll always be here for you guys, I promise.”

He ended with a positive message for his more than 400,000 followers.

“Remember to never give up hope because sometimes that’s all we got,” he said.
