Paul Walker Had Deep ‘Brotherly Bond’ With Vin Diesel Before Fatal Crash
The death of The Fast and The Furious heartthrob Paul Walker broke hearts around the nation on November 30, 2013, when he crashed his car in Santa Clarita, California. His sudden passing at age 40 was, and is still, regarded as one of Hollywood’s biggest tragedies, as the blue-eyed hunk was deeply loved by his cast-members, relatives and fans.
Now, on Walker's fifth death anniversary, REELZ’s new docuseries, Paul Walker: Behind Closed Doors, is looking back at the actor’s life by featuring old videos of him and recent interviews with his pals and family members.
“Vin’s extreme east coast, I’m extreme west coast,” Walker is heard saying in an old interview video. In the clip, the star talks about his and Vin Diesel’s on-screen chemistry and behind-the-scenes friendship.
“The world fell in love with Briand and Dom’s relationship — that kind of familial, brotherly bond is what launched the franchise,” Entertainment Weekly’s Samantha Highfill says in the REELZ teaser.

According to industry experts, it was the actors' cheery personalities and close relationship what truly made the hit film what it is today.
“They took Vin Diesel, who’s like the perfect example of east coast, and they took Paul Walker, who’s the perfect example of west coast, and they threw them together like oil and vinegar and we just had this wonderful dressing that came out of it,” adds Rhett Walker, Paul Walker’s uncle.
Paul Walker: Behind Closed Doors airs Friday, November 30 at 9 ET/8PT on REELZ.
