New York police officers arrested four women on Tuesday morning in connection to the NXIVM sex cult case involving Smallville actress Allison Mack, RadarOnline.com can exclusively report.
According to a shocking new superseding indictment obtained by Radar, police arrested Seagram heiress Claire Bronfman, Kathy Russell, Lauren Salzman and Nancy Salzman on Tuesday, July 24 for conspiracy racketeering. The indictment also names Mack and alleged cult leader, Keith Raniere.
As Radar readers know, Mack and Raniere were arrested earlier this year for allegedly leading NXIVM's inner sex ring known as DOS. The group has been accused of blackmailing, harassing and threatening women in addition to branding them with Raniere's intiails.
According to the court filing on Tuesday, the four additional women added to the case "comprised the second-highest level within the DOS pyramid."
The documents claimed their purpose was "promoting the defendant Keith Raniere, and by recruiting new members into the Pyramid Organizations."
Under Raniere's authority, the women are accused of "attempting and conspiring to commit crimes, including but not limited to identity theft, harboring of aliens for financial gain, extortion, forced labor, sex trafficking, money laundering, wire fraud and obstruction of justice."
The court docs also accuse the women of "obtaining sensitive information about members and associates of the Enterprise in order to maintain control over them."
Additionally, Bronfman, Russell, Mack and the Salzmans were allegedly responsible for "recruiting and grooming sexual partners for Raniere, using harassment, coercion and abusive litigation to intimidate and attack perceived enemies and critics of Raniere."
A court official confirmed to Radar on Tuesday that Bronfman will be arraigned Tuesday afternoon in Brooklyn Federal court while Russell and the Salzmans will be arraigned Tuesday afternoon in Albany.
Mack and Raniere are scheduled to appear in federal court on Wednesday.
