Nico Scholly is commemorating his brother Tristen's tragic death on a Mexican getaway, RadarOnline.com has learned.
The Below Deck star, 24, posted a tribute to his brother on Instagram shortly before he began sharing videos on his story from Cancun.
"Can't even believe how fast this year has passed," he wrote. "Every single day I think about this guy here. My brother and best friend. Heading down to Mexico today to spread Tristens ashes in a place where he loved most. One day we'll be united again but I feel him everyday still with me sic."
RadarOnline.com exclusively reported that Tristen, 21, died after he fell off a balcony in Chicago last year. He had gone to a concert with his brother (not Nico) and drank heavily before he was put to bed for the night.
"A friend of the victim contacted redacted about an hour later and notified redacted that the victim had woken up and went outside on the back balcony to smoke a cigarette," the report obtained by RadarOnline.com read. "He fell from the third floor and landed in the alley."
"It appears that that victim may have hit a dumpster before landing," the papers continued. "No one had witness the fall and the victim's friend that discovered the victim was not on scene when R/OS arrived."
"It was determined that the victim had multiple skull fractures, blood on the brain, and his brain had shifted from the fall," the report read. "The victim also has a broken left arm."
He was laid to rest days later and Nico broke down over the death on Below Deck in September.
