Miranda’s Boyfriend Demands Nasty Divorce Be Kept Secret Amid Homewrecking Scandal

Getting your Trinity Audio player ready...

Miranda Lambert’s married boyfriend Evan Felker demanded the court seal his nasty divorce papers when the homewrecking scandal exploded, RadarOnline.com can exclusively reveal.

In court papers obtained from District Court of Okfuskee County in Oklahoma, Felker, 34, filed a motion to seal the records on April 24, 2018, the day RadarOnline.com broke the scandal.

“The Petitioner Felker is a public figure and the Respondent Staci Nelson and her family are being harassed,” the motion read. “The petitioner’s address is a part of the Court record and he fears for his safety and the safety of others.”

The filing continued, “Therefore, it is in the best interests of the parties that the Court Records be sealed to protect the privacy and preserve the anonymity of said Petitioner and Respondent.”

The court has yet to rule on the request.

But Felker’s heartbroken wife isn’t keeping her feelings on the scandal sealed, as Nelson captioned a selfie on her Instagram story, “PSA: If Staci Felker can make it through this week, so can you.”

After Us Weekly revealed earlier this week that Lambert, 34, is dating the Turnpike Troubadours lead singer, who has been featured as the opening act on her Livin’ Like Hippies tour since February, a source told RadarOnline.com that Felker left his wife for her.

Felker filed for divorce from Nelson on February 16. She then filed her own petition for divorce on February 28, 2018.

“Petitioner alleges that a state of complete and irreconcilable incompatibility has arisen between the parties, by virtue of Respondent’s abandonment of Petitioner, which has completely destroyed the legitimate aims of the marriage and rendered its continuation impossible,” Nelson’s petition read.

In his response to the petition filed on March 28, 2018, Felker denied abandoning her.

A second source confirmed Lambert is “the reason” for Felker and Nelson’s divorce.

“Evan wants the divorce for his new life and so he can be with Miranda,” the insider said. “Evan wants to be with Miranda and he didn’t want to be married with his wife anymore. He wanted the divorce first. Staci had no choice but to go through with it. They had been together for about five years or so, including the time they were married.”

The insider added how Evan “is in love with Miranda and Miranda loves him too.”

RadarOnline.com obtained first photos of the couple together. They were spotted getting cozy at Old Absinthe House in New Orleans on March 26, two days after wrapping up her tour.

“Their interaction was cozy and they made out several times,” an onlooker told RadarOnline.com. “They looked like a couple, like they were dating. They were laughing a lot.”

This isn’t the first time Lambert has dated a married man. Her ex-husband Blake Shelton was married to Kaynette Williams when they met. Lambert admitted in 2011 on Dateline NBC that she went after him knowing he had a wife. Lambert and Shelton were married from 2011 to 2015.

Her split from boyfriend of two years, Anderson East, was revealed in early April.
