Mike 'The Situation' Sorrentino Speaks Out After Tax Evasion Sentencing
Mike "The Situation" Sorrentino hit social media just hours after receiving an eight-month federal prison sentence for tax evasion. The Jersey Shore star, 36, captioned a series of photos from his hearing, "We are very happy to put this behind us. Thank you so much for all the love and support."
In a Newark courtroom on Friday, the reality star, who pled guilty, was sentenced to eight months in a correctional facility, and two years of supervised release.
He must take one drug test 15 days after his prison release, and two more drug tests in subsequent months.
Sorrentino has to complete 500 hours community service, and may have to complete drug testing and mental health or addiction treatment.
The Jersey Shore star was also ordered to pay $123,913 in restitution, but the court said the full amount had already been paid.
Sorrentino, who celebrated two years clean and sober earlier this year, will likely turn himself in just days after his wedding to fiancée Lauren Pesce, 33, who attended the sentencing with him.

The pair is tying the knot the first week of November in their native New Jersey, a source previously told RadarOnline.com.
Pesce, as well as Jersey Shore co-stars Jenni "JWoww" Farley, Ronnie Magro-Ortiz, DJ Pauly D, Nicole "Snooki" Polizzi, Deena Cortese, Vinny Guadagnino and Angelina Pivarnick came to the court hearing held in Newark, N.J.
It's unknown how Sorrentino's upcoming prison stay might affect the filming of Jersey Shore: Family Vacation. According to Sorrentino's attorney, he has between 30 to 60 days to surrender, during which he plans to marry Pesce.
Prosecutors had accused Sorrentino of hiding millions of dollars he made while starring on Jersey Shore from 2010 and 2012.
