Megyn Kelly's Lawyer SLAMS NBC, Accuses Network Of Allowing Lies About Her To Spread

Getting your Trinity Audio player ready...

Megyn Kelly's lawyers are now publicly calling out NBC for allegedly permitting lies about the ousted Today host to spread.

According to the Daily Beast, Kelly's attorney Bryan Freedman released a statement claiming his client's former network let outlets "run with completely false and irresponsible reports that disparage Megyn by erroneously claiming she has ever asked for more money than her contract requires."

"If NBC News is not the source then they have a responsibility as a news division to correct these false claims," Freedman said. "Or are they somehow attempting to use these fabrications for some fictitious advantage in the discussions we're having?"

As RadarOnline.com previously reported, Kelly, 47, has demanded NBC pay out the remainder of her $69 million, three-year contract after her Today show was taken off air following a racism scandal.

"She feels NBC abandoned her, and she's owed her contract," a source told RadarOnline.com.

A report claimed today she asked for $10 million in addition to her contract agreement, which Freedman vehemently denied.

Kelly infamously infuriated her fellow Today hosts and viewers last week by claiming it seemed okay to her for a white person to dress in blackface on Halloween.

Though she apologized, her show was pulled two days later, and she is not expected to return to the network.
