Shocking court documents filed in U.S. District Court in Michigan show William E. Putman II, 57, was indicted for possessing an unregistered AR-15 firearm converted to fully automatic mode.

The documents further explained that the converted firearm police found "is a machine gun."
Bill was released on a $10,000 unsecured bond. According to the famed father's condition of release documents, he cannot leave the state of Michigan and has been ordered to surrender his passport within 30 days.
As RadarOnline.com readers know, Bill's 31-year-old son, Brandon was also formally indicted earlier this year after allegedly attempting to make an AR-15 gun fully automatic.
The Putman family has become well-known thanks to its reality show on the TLC network. The 26-person family's unconventional lives of living under the same roof in Pigeon, Michigan was documented on Meet The Putmans.
If found guilty, Bill and Brandon are each facing 10 years imprisonment, $250,000 fine and/or supervised release.
