Matt Lauer is returning to TV! As RadarOnline.com has exclusively learned, the disgraced former Today host is ready to make a career comeback after his humiliating sexual misconduct scandal.
A source told Straight Shuter that Lauer – who recently got thrown out by his estranged wife – has been attending “several meetings” with big networks in order to find his new broadcast home.
Longtime friend, and President of CNN, Jeff Zucker, is the one who will likely take Lauer, 60, in after his massive downfall.
“Jeff was once Matt’s boss at the Today show, and the two are still very very close,” said the source.
“Matt is one of the most talented broadcasters of all time, and Jeff Zucker knows that he has made a mistake, but he doesn’t think it is that big,” added the insider.
Despite being regretful of his sick actions, Lauer is done moping around and hopes to be back on TV by the end of the year! “He can’t wait to start this new chapter of his life.”
