Former Glee star Mark Salling’s Jan. 30 suicide at age 35 sent shockwaves across Hollywood’s entertainment community.
Longtime publicist Lisa Anderson, who is among the industry elite who worked with the late actor and musician, told RadarOnline.com exclusively that she was saddened to hear the tragic news.
“I represented Mark the entire time he was on Glee,” Anderson, who is the owner of Anderson PR, said. “All I will say is that he was just wonderful. Simply wonderful to work with!”
As previously reported, California's Foothill Division Police received a missing persons report at 3 a.m. on January 30, LAPD spokesman Mike Lopez said.
According to Lopez, Salling's body was discovered at the 11900 block of Big Tujunga Road in Sunland at about 8:50 a.m.
In 2016, Salling’s life took a shocking turn for the worst when an ex-girlfriend told authorities that he was in possession of child pornography. When prosecutors raided his home, they found 50,000 “sadistic” and “masochistic” images – 4,000 of which were found on his laptop.
After pleading guilty to child porn charges in Dec. 2017, Salling was out on $50,000 bail and was awaiting sentencing on March 7. He was facing 4-7 years behind bars, with a maximum sentence of 20 years.
In the final days before his death, Salling was often seen wearing the same outfit for days on end while buying junk food near his home. He also admitted to taking medication for depression.
