Leah Remini Claims Scientology Pushed Her To Convert Costar Kevin James!

One of Scientology’s most vocal critics, actress Leah Remini has exposed a shocking new secret of the controversial church’s controlling ways. As RadarOnline.com has learned, Remini will be reuniting with her formerKing of Queens co-star, Kevin James, to film Kevin Can Wait. Speaking of their relationship during the nine season of their hit show, Remini claimed that the church tried to get her to recruit him, and bashed her for failing!

Saying that getting to work with him again has been “such a blessing,” Remini confessed that it was difficult to defend herself against the church when they were pressuring her to get him to join.

They “always tried to get me to,” she said in an interview with PEOPLE. “They asked me, ‘why is he not in? Why have you not promoted it to him?’ I was like, ‘because he’s Catholic. He doesn’t want anything to do with it.’”

Remini claimed, “They let it go after a while but usually they expect you to recruit, especially with somebody you work with for nine years.”

While the church of Scientology has denied all claims, various A-listers have come forward in support of Remini, saying they too were victims of the church’s dictatorial ways.

Actress Diana Canova walked away from church after questioning the cost of the membership, while directorPaul Haggis left after 35 years an slammed the religion in HBO’s Going Clear. ActorChristopher Reeve also claimed he left the church after growing skeptical of the bizarre religion.
