Lea Michele Remembers Late Love Cory Monteith 5 Years After His OD Death
Cory Monteith passed away on July 13, 2013 at the young age of 31, after suffering a drug overdose inside a luxury hotel room. Five years later, ex-girlfriend Lea Michele is still mourning his death.
“There are some who bring a light so great to the world, that even after they have gone, the light remains” Michele, 31, tweeted this Friday, speaking of the beloved actor.
As RadarOnline.com readers know, the stars fell in love on the set of musical show Glee, and dated for two years until Monteith’s tragic demise.
Following her boyfriend’s passing, Michele got a tattoo of his quarterback character’s name, Finn. She also debuted an album, in part dedicated to her late love.
Her song “If You Say So” was written seven days after the brunette beauty lost her former soulmate to drugs.
It took some time for Lea Michele to recover, but the star is now happily engaged to businessman Zandy Reich. Regardless, Corey Monteith will forever remain in her heart.
