Private Investigator Says Kim Made 'Fatal Mistake' Before Nearly-Fatal Paris Robbery
Just as flashy reality TV queen Kim Kardashian was enjoying a lavish getaway in Paris for 2016 Fashion Week, she was robbed at gunpoint and nearly killed by an organized group of criminals.
When speaking of the fretful incident on Keeping Up With The Kardashians, the mother-of-three said the robbers kept asking for her diamond ring—which she had flaunted repeatedly on social media before the near-death attack.
"The Kardashians: that's their thing. They post everything. It's a road map to 'rob me,' and that was the fatal mistake," says Private Investigator Robert Mann in a teaser for REELZ' new docuseries, Scandal Made Me Famous: Kim Kardashian.
Though Kim, 37, and her Kardashian family are constantly criticized for their "lack of talent," Kim's worldwide social media influence is was prompted her robbery in the first place.
"She doesn't dance, she doesn't act, but the way she's turned just living a very beautiful life, a very rich life into an even richer life? That takes a lot of talent," says Syndicated Radio Host Kellie Rasberry.
Kim was robbed on October 3 at around 2:30a.m., when five men dressed as police showed up at her rental apartment demanding entry.
She was bound, gagged, threatened and locked up inside her bathroom suite. She begged the criminals to let her live and gave them all the jewelry they asked for.

Luckily, the star survived the terrifying incident, but not without taking with her a huge wakeup call. After being close to death, Kim changed her entire public image, style and social media presence. She turned her attention to her family, and attended therapy to get over the trauma.
So did she cause her own robbery?
