Kim Kardashian is fighting to release convicted felon Chris Young, who she claimed was sentenced to life in prison for possession of marijuana and half a gram of cocaine. But court papers exclusively obtained by RadarOnline.com reveal the prisoner's charges are more serious than the Keeping Up With the Kardashians star explained.

In court papers obtained from United States District Court, Middle District of Tennessee, Young, now 30, was arrested in December 2010.

"Chris Young and Dmitri Johnson did knowingly and intentionally combine, conspire, confederate and agree with each other and with other persons known and unknown to knowingly and intentionally possess with intent to distribute controlled substances, including 500 grams or more of a mixture and substance containing cocaine, and 280 grams or more of a mixture and substance containing a detectable amount of cocaine base, that is crack cocaine, Schedule II controlled substances," the complaint read.

Young and Johnson were arrested on probable cause during the surveillance and arrest of a defendant in a separate case, Robert Porter. On December 10, 2010, agents conducted surveillance and arrested Porter at a gas station in Clarksville, Tennessee.

"Young was identified as the person to whom Porter was going to provide a substantial amount of cocaine and/or crack," the court papers read. "Young was in the process of obtaining cocaine and/or crack from Porter at that gas station when the agents arrested Porter. Porter had about eight ounces of cocaine and about six ounces of crack cocaine in his car when agents moved in."

During the arrest, agents recovered about $10,000 in cash from the ground just outside the passenger side door where Young was standing.

In the residence Porter and Johnson left to go to the gas station, agents confiscated scales with white residue, an empty baking soda box, two Pyrex measuring cups of different sizes, razor blade, two opened bottles of Inositol (a substance commonly used to dilute or "cut" cocaine to increase profits) and a microwave oven.

"Evidence shows that Porter and Johnson manufactured the crack cocaine found in Porter's vehicle at Johnson's residence during the approximately 45 minute period that Porter and Johnson were at Johnson's residence and before meeting with Chris Young at the gas station," the papers read. "Your affiant believes probable cause exists to believe that Chris Young and Dmitri Johnson were part of a conspiracy to distribute and possess with intent to distribute 500 grams or more of cocaine and 280 grams or more of crack cocaine."

The court papers also include his previous crimes.

On July 30, 2006, he was arrested and sentenced for possession of 6.8 grams of crack cocaine, unlawful possession of a weapon and simple possession of 6.5 grams of marijuana. He was sentenced to 8 years in prison, which was later suspended.

On July 21, 2007, Mr. Young was arrested at age 19. On March 19, 2008, he pled guilty to a charge of possession of .5 grams of cocaine or less, after being initially charged with possession of cocaine for resale and delivery. Kardashian only mentioned this detail on the podcast.

He was sentenced to six years in custody. The sentence was suspended and he was placed on community corrections for six years.

In the judgment obtained by RadarOnline.com, he pled guilty to felon in possession of a firearm.

He was found guilty after pleading not guilty to conspiracy to distribute and possess with intent to distribute 500 grams or more of cocaine and 280 grams or more of crack cocaine, attempted possession of a detectable amount of cocaine with intent to distribute within 1,000 feet of a school and possession of a firearm in furtherance of a drug trafficking crime.

"The defendant is hereby committed to the custody of the U.S. Bureau of Prisons to be imprisoned for a total term of life on counts 1 and 11 with such terms to run concurrent with each other, sixty months on count 12 to run consecutively and sixty months on Count 13 to run concurrently," the sentencing read.

Young filed an appeal in the case. The motion was denied on August 31, 2018.

On the Wrongful Conviction podcast with Jason Flom, Kardashian, 37, opened up about the case, missing essential details.

"Yesterday, I had a call with a gentleman that's in prison for a drug case, got life. It's so unfair," she explained. "His prior conviction to get him to his three strikes was marijuana. Then marijuana with less than half a gram of cocaine, possession. Got life. I was on the phone with the judge that sentenced him to life, who resigned… He's fighting with us to get him out. It was a mandatory sentence he had to deliver and he knew it was so wrong and he was like, 'I'm going to make this right.' I'm going to step down and help fight to get him out."
