Reality Scheme! Kate & Millionaire Ex Planned To Star In ‘Kate Plus 8’ Spinoff

Before Kate Gosselin scored her own dating reality show, the single mother of eight was feverishly working on a Kate Plus 8 spinoff about her relationship with her millionaire entrepreneur ex-boyfriend, RadarOnline.com can exclusively reveal.

Gosselin’s former love, Dreamstime.com co-founder Jeff Prescott, exclusively told RadarOnline.com that the then-couple’s show was in pre-production with TLC.

“She and I discussed pre-production on several occasions,” Prescott told RadarOnline.com, adding that Gosselin and producers were thrilled with the prospect of a spinoff show. “I know that they were very excited about it because of the ratings potential.”

“I think she knew her show was drying up, and that a show with us would be more interesting.”

Prescott claimed one of the potential storylines he discussed with Gosselin, 43, were later used on a January 2016 episode of Kate Plus 8. On the show, Gosselin went on a helicopter ride over New York City with a man named Vann.

“I must say I laughed a little when I saw a clip of the show with her and her date doing everything that we had pre-planned,” the businessman told RadarOnline.com. “They had to find a replacement at last minute. I'm sure he was just a producer's friend.”

It’s safe to say Prescott won’t be watching Gosselin’s new series later this year.

“In all honesty I didn't watch that show, and I have never seen anything other than a snippet of her series while changing channels,” he said.

TLC announced earlier this month that Kate Plus 8 will premiere in the fall.

Gosselin and Prescott split in September 2015 after nearly a year of dating.

She previously split from ex-husband Jon Gosselin in 2009, and the couple has embarked on a nasty custody war ever since.
