A Los Angeles Superior Court Judge has heaped more troubles on jailed comic Bill Cosby.
Judge Lawrence Cho is allowing a civil suit brought against the shamed comic to proceed according to Chloe Goins lawyer.
Goins alleges that Cosby, 81, drugged and then sexually assaulted her at a party at the Playboy mansion ten years ago.
The presiding judge ordered a stay on the litigation pending the outcome of Cosby’s criminal trial in Philadelphia for drugging and assaulting Andrea Constand back in 2004.
The first trial ended with a mistrial due to a hung jury, however, the second trial resulted in a conviction with Cosby being sentenced to ten years jail time.
Lawyer Spencer T. Kuvin Esq. said: “Mr. Cosby has been convicted of violent sexual assault by a jury of his peers, and he may very well live out the rest of his life behind bars.
“This is our opportunity to get to the truth of what he did to our client, Ms. Goins, that fateful night at the Playboy Mansion in 2008.”
The lawyer revealed that he intends to dispose Cosby on several important facts surrounding the time of the alleged incident – with the deposition to take place before the end of the year.
Cosby is currently being housed at Montgomery County Prison in Pennsylvania.
