Republican presidential candidate Mike Huckabee has been a longtime friend of the scandal-plagued Duggar family but apparently it's a sensitive subject: When he was questioned about the nature of his relationship with them during a recent campaign stop, he lashed out in an embarrassing video clip.

In the video obtained by Radar, a woman at an Iowa campaign stop is seen asking the Arkansas native about his views on child abuse, and then asks why he supports Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar.

When he says that child abuse is horrific she asks, "Then how come you support them? You supported them on your website. When the Duggars came out , and their son had molested their child, you more or less said that you felt sorry for the parents. The parents let it continue for over two years."

Huckabee interrupts her to say he doesn't support "child abuse," but still claims to support the Duggars.

"You don't know — Ma'am, I'm sorry, but I'm going to stop you ... You're accusing me of supporting child abuse," he snapped. "And I'm going to take you on on that because that

hurts my feelings, and is absolutely ... Let me tell you something: You have no idea what you're talking about. You don't know that family, and I do. You don't know them. I've never supported child abuse … Let me finish! Let. Me. Finish."

Huckabee angrily continues his rant.

"You accuse me of supporting child abuse. You do not know that family," he huffed. "I never supported anything that happened to those daughters. I supported the fact that those daughters were maliciously and savagely abused not just by their brother, but by the news media who exploited them for their own purpose without proof of what it was doing to those young ladies."

"I know them. I've known them since they were babies," he insisted. "You don't know what those parents did and how they worked to try to take care of their entire family. You don't know."

When the woman continues to question him he reprimands her.

"No. You know what? You've come in here to confront me, which is fine," he snapped. "But you cannot abuse, which is what your'e doing, the reputation of a godly family who have been through hell because a son of theirs — one of their many children — did something evil and sinful that nobody is backing up and supporting. But I would support any family who tries to work through their problems under the grace of God."
